The training is part of the OSCE-funded project on improving institutional capacity for addressing religious issues and increasing religious tolerance.
The project is being implemented country-wide by the Kyrgyz State Agency on Religious Affairs.
Topics include international standards on freedom of religion with focus on the Universal Declaration of Human Rights, the implementation of the new Law on Freedom of Religion and Religious Organizations, resolving religious conflicts and increasing religious tolerance within local communities.
The training course targets heads of village councils and officers of community police units in the Jalal-Abad province.
