First International Business Forum in Jalal-Abad city

A two-day International Business Forum “Jalal-Abad 2015” open its work in Jalal-Abad city, south Kyrgyzstan, with the aim to improve investment climate and attract foreign and domestic investment in projects, strengthening of trade and economic relations and creation of new enterprises providing employment.

It is organized by the Office of the Plenipotentiary Representative of the Government of the Kyrgyz Republic in the Jalal-Abad region in support of the OSCE Centre in Bishkek, United Nations Development Programme, GIZ and USAID/ACDIVOCA.

The Forum intends to become a modern platform for a constructive dialogue needed for successful implementation of solid investment and business projects in Jalal-Abad province and is a part of the national information policy introduced in the National Sustainable Development Strategy of the Kyrgyz Republic.

As part of the Forum it is expected that Prime Minister of the Kyrgyz Republic will visit Jalal-Abad and participate in the round table and panel discussions.

The programme of the activity also envisages conduct of:

  • Group round tables by industries: development of agriculture and processing industry, energy industry, infrastructure and construction, tourism and services;
  • Presentations of ready-made business projects in Jalal-Abad province for potential investors;
  • Panel discussions and negotiations in B2B format (business to business);
  • Exhibition of goods produced by local and foreign companies, as well as folk handicrafts and items;
  • Visit to large industrial enterprises of Jalal-Abad province;
