OSCE-supported regulatory review project launches website in Kyrgyzstan
BISHKEK, 30 June 2015 – In cooperation with the Kyrgyz Ministry of Economy, the OSCE Centre in Bishkek launched the official website of the Systematic Regulatory Review Project at www.sar.kg.
The project is aimed at reducing the administrative and regulatory burden imposed on businesses through reduction of laws and regulations that adversely impact their economic activity.
This website will serve as an instrument of keeping the public and stakeholders informed on the progress and results of the project’s work. The website has an interactive component that will allow members of public to provide comments and suggestions.
According to Indira Aronova, the head of the Regulatory Review Unit established to drive the regulatory reform, the website will contain the database of 3,270 legal and normative acts regulating the business sector which will be reviewed and assessed.
The implementation of the Systematic Regulatory Review Project started last November following the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding between the Kyrgyz Economy Ministry and the OSCE Centre in Bishkek in March 2014,
Interested parties can follow the reform progress by visiting the regulatory review’s Facebook page: https://www.facebook.com/www.sar.kg .
