Kyrgyzstan to report on anti-corruption legal and institutional framework progress at 15th Istanbul Anti-Corruption Action Plan meeting in Paris
The OSCE Centre in Bishkek is supporting the participation of the Kyrgyz delegation in the Anti-corruption Network for Eastern Europe and Central Asia (ACN) of the Organization for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD) plenary meeting on 23-24 March 2015 in Paris, France.
“The OSCE in Bishkek strongly supports the Kyrgyz Government in its fight against corruption and implementation of the international commitments outlined in the Istanbul Anti-corruption action plan”, said Senior Economic and Environmental Officer at the OSCE Centre in Bishkek Yulia Minaeva.
The representatives of the Kyrgyz Defence Council Secretariat, Ministry of Economy, General Prosecutor's Office and Anti-Corruption Service under the State Committee for National Security of the Kyrgyz Republic will take a part in the discussions.
Through the round of consultations, the delegation will update OSCE participating States on the progress the Kyrgyz Republic made in compliance with recommendations of the Istanbul Action Plan focusing on Anti-Corruption Policy and Institutions, Criminalization and the Prevention of Corruption.
The ACN is an outreach programme of the OECD Working Group on Bribery. The Istanbul Action Plan is designed to promote the UN Convention against Corruption and other international standards and good practice.
