Documentary film on the Community Security Initiative in Kyrgyzstan released
A new documentary film chronicling the activities of the OSCE Community Security Initiative (CSI) in Kyrgyzstan was released on 10 March 2015. The CSI, part of the OSCE Centre in Bishkek, supports the Kyrgyz police in its efforts to build trust between the police and citizens as well as to enhance the capabilities and skills of the local police in community policing, human security, and the use of Mobile Police Reception vehicles.
The Head of the OSCE Centre in Bishkek, Ambassador Sergey Kapinos, said: “This film highlights the important work of the Community Security Initiative in helping to rebuild relations between communities and with the police, in parts of the country where security concerns have been most acute in recent years.”
A Russian-language version of the film will be made available for broadcasters in the country. The film was produced by the OSCE Secretariat’s Communications and Media Relations Section in Vienna.
