OSCE facilitates co-operation between Diplomatic Academies in Kyrgyzstan
BISHKEK, 04 November 2014 –The OSCE Academy in Bishkek today signed a Memorandum of Co-operation (MoU) with the Kazy Dikambaev Diplomatic Academy under the Kyrgyz Foreign Affairs Ministry. On the same occasion, the Diplomatic Academy signed a Memorandum of Co-operation with the American University of Central Asia President Andrew Wachtel. The MoUs will contribute to developing and enhancing of mutual co-operation, exchange of information and expertise in the field of education, professional training and research.
“Based on recommendations of the Diplomatic Academy needs-assessment report provided by an OSCE expert, efficient networking with other educational institutions in the country and abroad is seen as one of the key priorities in the reform process of the Diplomatic Academy. The Memorandums signed are just a first step towards a meaningful and productive co-operation in the years to come” said Ambassador Sergey Kapinos, Head of the OSCE Centre in Bishkek”, said Ambassador Sergey Kapinos, Head of the OSCE Centre in Bishkek.
The Memorandum on behalf of the Diplomatic Academy of the Kyrgyz Republic was signed by the Rector Nurlan Aitmurzaev and the Director of the OSCE Academy in Bishkek Pal Dunay. The Academies agreed to co-operate in areas of mutual interests such as join library resources, consulting, joint educational programmes and research projects.
