OSCE-supported Youth Model Parliament concludes its 2013 session in Kyrgyzstan

The final session of this year’s OSCE-supported Youth Model Parliament was held on 28 November 2013 in Bishkek.
The event was attended by Kyrgyz members of parliament, as well as representatives from civil society and academia.
At the session, 26 students who participated in the project presented a number of reform recommendations in the areas of education, environment and health care in the country.
“This project provides students with a unique opportunity to learn about how their country’s democratic institutions work, as well as develop their public speaking and critical thinking skills,” said George Katcharava, Institution Building Officer of the OSCE Centre in Bishkek.
Youth Model Parliament project was implemented by the American Councils for International Education, with the support from the OSCE Centre in Bishkek.
