The last batch of brochures to assist Kyrgyzstan’s patrol police officers in dealing with English-speaking tourists published by the OSCE Centre in Bishkek was distributed among police officers on 16 August 2013.
The brochure contains information on how to communicate with foreign tourists who address the local police. It provides contact information for all Bishkek-based embassies, consulates, and other diplomatic missions. The brochure also contains a number of essential simple English phrases along with tips on effective intercultural communication.
The publication was prepared following the request from the Interior Ministry of Kyrgyzstan, as part of the community policing project of the OSCE Centre in Bishkek.
