Actions taken for violations of election rules and regulations in Bosnia and Herzegovina
SARAJEVO 9 November 2000
SARAJEVO, 9 November 2000 - The Provisional election commission (PEC) has removed mandates of some councillors, and certain candidates have been declared ineligible to run for office in the 11 November general elections in Bosnia and Herzegovina. These people were found in violation of Articles 7.16 or 108 of the PEC Rules and Regulations, which prohibit illegal occupants to run for or hold office.
The following elected and appointed municipal officials have been removed due to violation of Articles 7.16 of PEC Rules and Regulations governing municipal elections in April 2000:
These individuals will have their councillor's mandates terminated due to their failure to vacate
property they illegally occupied within the deadline stipulated in an adminsitrative decision. Mandates will be allocated to the next on their party's list in respective municipality.
The following candidate for the general elections is removed for violations of Article 108 of the PEC Rules and Regulations governing the November 2000 general elections:

- Sreten Petrovic (Demokratski Narodni Savez), candidate for Municipal Assembly Srebrenica
- Krstan Knezevic (Socijalisticka Partija RS), candidate for Municipal Assembly Srebrenica
- Milenija Vukosavljevic (Zavicajni socijaldemokrati), candidate for Municipal Assembly Srebrenica
- Milos Vukosavljevic (Demokratski Narodni Savez), candidate for Municipal Assembly Srebrenica

- Mr. Veljko Luzajic (Republikanska Stranka BiH) candidate for the Assembly of Canton Sarajevo. He was declared ineligible to stand as a candidate in the general elections due to his failure to vacate property he illegally occupied within the deadline stipulated in an adminsitrative decision. His name will remain on the ballot since the ballots have already been printed, but if he wins the mandate, it will not be allocated to him.
