OSCE in Albania organized seminar on modernizing management of parliaments in South-Eastern Europe
The Secretaries General of parliaments in South-Eastern Europe gathered on 18 and 19 October 2012 in Tirana to discuss ways of modernizing human resource management in their national parliaments. The meeting was organized by the OSCE Presence in Albania, in co-operation with the Albanian Assembly and other OSCE field operations in the region.
The Secretaries General and senior parliamentary staff from Tirana, Sarajevo, Skopje, Priština/Pristinë and Podgorica, joined by representatives of Slovenia’s parliament, shared their experiences in the development of human resources during the transition years. They also discussed challenges they face in their work related to further European integration.
The event was part of a regional OSCE initiative aiming at supporting and strengthening capacities of parliaments in South-Eastern Europe.
