A three-year project on transboundary co-operation and sustainable management in the Dniester River basin is to be over by the end of 2011. Aiming at the improvement of co-operation between Moldova and Ukraine on joint management of the Dniester River basin, the project worked on six directions: legislation, co-operation between health authorities, conservation of fish diversity, information exchange, public awareness, and reducing vulnerability to floods and climate change.

The project results, its evaluation and ideas for the future will be discussed at the final project meeting. The participants will be from water and environment authorities, foreign ministries, NGOs, the scientific community and health authorities of both countries.
