The OSCE Mission to Skopje will organize the Second Regional Workshop against Trafficking in Children, which is part of an ongoing regional project supported by the French Government.
The workshop aims to identify and reinforce the most efficient mechanisms and practices for prevention, identification, referral and protection of children victims of trafficking.
20 non-governmental representatives from the country and the region, including Albania, Bosnia-Herzegovina, Greece, Kosovo, Montenegro, Serbia, as well as France, will serve as a forum where country representatives can openly share their experiences, approaches and innovative practices in the provision of protection services to children victims of trafficking.
The focus of the meeting will be on national referral mechanisms and the different types of protection employed in each country e.g. drop-in centers, shelters, safe houses, and return and reintegration programmes. The overall project will result in a set of recommendations and best practices which will be endorsed and widely distributed to both state and non-state actors involved in the fight against child trafficking, across the entire region.
