This booklet provides guidance to municipal officials on how to better assist repatriated persons. It focuses on reintegration of repatriated persons in their places of origin.

The fifth edition of the OSCE Local Dialogue Academy for Young Women (LDA) will be organized from 19 to 23 June 2023 in Istog/Istok. The Academy provides a platform for young women to overcome barriers in communication, deconstruct stereotypes and establish a basis for dialogue through peer-to-peer learning, coaching and mentoring activities. It aims at enhancing communication among youth from different communities, focusing on common issues of concern related to gender equality and women’s empowerment in particular. The OSCE report ‘The Right to Effective Representation in Criminal Proceedings and the Ex Officio Appointment System’ provides insight into standards of criminal defence representation and the functioning of the ex officio appointment system in Kosovo. The report covers the period 2020 to 2021, and uses surveys with legal practitioners together with findings from OSCE trial monitoring to assess some of the challenges and barriers to effective criminal defence representation in Kosovo.
