Published by the OSCE Presence in Albania as part of its project “Assisting the National Authorities of the Republic of Albania to Decrease the Risk of Weapon Proliferation and Misuse of Small Arms and Light Weapons” funded by EU, Germany and France.

The booklet on “Women’s Inheritance Rights” is designed to raise awareness among the general public, including women from rural communities and relevant institutions about women’s inheritance rights. Based on the feedback received during the Mission’s workshops on women’s property rights in 2021 and 2022, the Mission gathered a series of common issues in the implementation of women’s inheritance rights. The booklet responds to these issues by explaining the legal framework in a simplified and relatable manner, illustrating them through sample cases in the format of frequently asked questions and informing affected women, family members and civil society organizations about actions they can take to protect and enforce women’s inheritance rights.

This brochure outlines the key moments in the two decades of the Mission’s work in Kosovo.

The Community Rights Assessment Report assesses the situation of community rights and progress made by Kosovo institutions in respect to the 2017 Opinion of Council of Europe’s Framework Convention for the Protection of National Minorities (FCNM) Advisory Committee, in the areas of inter-community dialogue, security and justice, language, education, returns, socio-economic rights, culture and media. Significant developments since June 2015, when the fourth reporting period ended, are included in the current edition. Finally, the report provides a set of conclusions on the progress in promoting and protecting the rights of communities’ members in Kosovo, in line with the FCNM obligations.

The OSCE invites you to apply for the OSCE Dialogue Academy for Young Women, which will take place from 6 to 16 October 2021 in Mavrovo, North Macedonia. Twenty-four successful applicants from Prishtinë/Priština and Belgrade who meet the qualification criteria will be selected to participate in the Academy.
