The publication is a collection of articles on the OSCE Code of Conduct on Politico-Military Aspects of Security, introducing its history, and Armenia's and international experience in the implementation of the Code, and its practical recommendations. The volume was prepared by a group of experts from Drastamat Kanayan Institute for National Strategic Studies under the Armenian Ministry of Defence and a number of other bodies with the support of the OSCE Office in Yerevan.

The report shows that hate crime remains a significant problem across the OSCE region, undermining personal, neighbourhood and state security, and eroding confidence across and among communities. People were killed, injured or otherwise harmed when they were targeted in 2010 for no other reason than being perceived as belonging to a specific ethnic, “racial”, religious or other group.

The guidebook on cross-examination provides an overview of this new aspect to be introduced in the new criminal procedure law. It provides guiding material that can serve as a basis for the daily work of practitioners involved in conducting cross-examinations.
