OSCE Secretary General Thomas Greminger visits Tajikistan and OSCE Programme Office in Dushanbe

The OSCE Secretary General Thomas Greminger visited Tajikistan and the OSCE Programme Office in Dushanbe on 3-4 May 2018. As part of his official visit to the region the Secretary General participated in a high-level conference, entitled “Countering Terrorism and Preventing Violent Extremism”, which was organized by the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan in co-operation with the OSCE, the United Nations, and the European Union.

During his visit to the Programme Office in Dushanbe on 3 May 2018, Secretary General Greminger addressed border officials from Afghanistan, Tajikistan and Turkmenistan participating in a joint Afghan-Tajik-Turkmen Regional Border Management Awareness workshop.

The Secretary General also met with the OSCE staff from the Programme Office in Dushanbe, as well as with youth representatives from Tajikistan.
