On 3 and 4 of September 2024, the OSCE Presence in Albania organized a two-day workshop on illicit firearms trafficking, involving members of the Trafficking Investigation Sectors of the Albanian State Police (ASP) at both the central and local levels, prosecutors from the General Prosecution

Bosnia and Herzegovina prosecutors and other criminal justice professionals concluded the XVII Annual Prosecutorial Symposium, convened from 1 to 4 September in Neum. The Symposium serves as a platform for training, debating criminal justice issues, and the exchange of best practices.

On the occasion of the World Day Against Trafficking in Persons, the OSCE Mission to BiH, in co-operation with the Office of the OSCE Special Representative and Co-ordinator for Combating Trafficking in Human Beings, organized a workshop to address human trafficking among minorities, children, and persons with disabilities.

Following the publication of the report “From Paper to Practice” in June, main findings and figures of the project implementation from July 2021 to March 2024 are now included in a factsheet. During the three years, 59 organized crime and corruption cases were monitored in Montenegro, providing a significant basis for the evidence-based findings published by the project.

PRISHTINË / PRIŠTINA, 2 July 2024- The OSCE Mission in Kosovo today published its latest trial monitoring report today on the handling of domestic violence cases by the Basic Courts in Kosovo.

A strict interpretation of the new regulatory framework suggests that information regarding adjudicated facts and individual criminal responsibility will be substantially limited, with full anonymization of details about defendants and the context of the crime.

In Bosnia and Herzegovina (BiH), based on the monitoring of 55 organized crime and corruption cases involving over 900 hearings monitored between July 2021 and March 2024, the Report provides evidence-based recommendations developed to improve transparency, efficiency and the utilization of asset confiscation mechanisms.
