OSCE trains Ukraine’s emergency hotline operators to better assist children in distress

The first two groups of operators and dispatchers of Ukraine’s National Police emergency “102” hotline have strengthened their knowledge and skills in effective communication with children during a series of two-day trainings organized by the OSCE Secretariat Extra-Budgetary Support Programme for Ukraine in Uzhhorod from 6 to 9 June 2023.

On 6 and 7 June 2023, the OSCE Secretariat’s Transnational Threats Department (TNTD) and the Office of the Co-ordinator of OSCE Economic and Environmental Activities (OCEEA), in co-operation with the 2023 OSCE Chairpersonship of North Macedonia (CiO) and the Global Initiative against Transnational Organized Crime (GI-TOC), held a regional multi-stakeholder event in Skopje, North Macedonia to discuss how to strengthen youth resilience to organized crime and corruption.

On 25 May 2023, the OSCE Transnational Threats Department and the Office of the Co-ordinator of OSCE Economic and Environmental Activities, in co-operation with implementing partner Terre des Hommes Moldova, held a multi-stakeholder event in Chisinau, Moldova to present and discuss the findings of the OSCE needs assessment on youth crime prevention in the country.

The OSCE Mission in Kosovo launched today its fifth Media Fellowship Programme, an annual initiative that seeks to develop young journalists’ skills and establish a network of fellow journalists from different communities. Eight journalists from across Kosovo will visit local journalist
