Advancing protection from violence against women in conflict: civil society voices at the centre

From 9 to 11 June, 16 women human rights defenders and civil society representatives from Ukraine and Bosnia and Herzegovina met in Vienna to highlight the urgent need to prioritize addressing violence against women and girls in post-conflict reconstruction and recovery efforts.
OSCE conducts additional training for senior police in Khujand on victim-centered response to domestic violence

The OSCE Programme Office in Dushanbe, in co-operation with the Public Order Protection Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Tajikistan, conducted a two-day training course from 11 to 12 June 2025 in Khujand, Sughd region. The event follows a similar training held in May in the Khatlon region.

More than 60 parliamentarians and experts from Europe and Central Asia gathered at the Finnish Parliament for a two-day workshop on gender-sensitive parliaments, organized by the OSCE Office for Democratic Institutions and Human Rights (ODIHR) with support from the OSCE Parliamentary Assembly, and OSCE field operations. Entitled Realizing Gender Equality in and by Parliaments, the workshop highlighted the critical role of national parliaments in driving progress toward gender equality.
Strengthening the role of women in preventing violent extremism focus of the OSCE regional meeting in Tashkent
