VIENNA, 6 March 2023 – OSCE Representative on Freedom of the Media, Teresa Ribeiro, concluded her official visit to Moldova, which took place from 27 February to 3 March 2023.

VIENNA, 14 January 2022 – The OSCE Representative on Freedom of the Media (RFoM), Teresa Ribeiro, today presented a legal analysis of the Law on Amendments of the Code of Audiovisual Media Services of the Republic of Moldova, no. 174/2018, adopted on 4 November 2021. The amendments lead to increased parliamentary control over the public service broadcaster TeleRadio-Moldova (TRM) and the public authority regulating the public and private broadcast media, the Audiovisual Council.

An online dialogue meeting focusing on reporting on the Transdniestrian settlement process, co-organized by the OSCE Mission in Moldova and the local NGO Independent Journalism Centre (IJC), was held on 24 September 2020. OSCE Mission to Moldova organised a study visit to Georgia for a group of six young journalists from both banks of the Dniester/Nistru River on 5-8 December 2017.
