OSCE celebrates anniversary of gender champions' network in Tajikistan

OSCE Programme Office starts its new patrol field capacity building project to train Tajik border troops

On 12 November 2018, the OSCE Programme Office in Dushanbe started a new project “Patrol Field Capacity Building of the Tajik Border Troops through promotion of Regional Co-operation”. The project is supported by the Federal Republic of Germany and was launched in the Regional Training Centre of Khalkayor, some 230km south of Dushanbe.
OSCE assists Tajikistan’s Interior Ministry in establishing second model police station

OSCE supports visit of Tajik and Afghan border security and management representatives to Japan

Delegations from Tajikistan and Afghanistan led, respectively, by the Commander of the Border Troops of Tajikistan, Colonel-General Rajabali Rahmonali, and the Head of the Afghan Border Police of Islamic Republic of Afghanistan, Brigadier General Abdullah Stanakzai, paid a visit to Tokyo, Japan, from 22 to 30 September 2018. The OSCE-supported Women’s Resource Centres (WRCs) in Tajikistan together with local authorities celebrated the International Day of the Girl under the theme “Empowering Girls” in rural regions of Tajikistan on 11 October 2018. The campaign was organized around various thematic activities, which included painting contests, fashion design competitions, conferences and sessions bringing together different rural communities. It aimed at raising awareness of girls’ and boys’ equal rights to opportunities in society.
