VIENNA, 8 March 2019 – Greater efforts are needed to eliminate all forms of violence against women and girls occurring both in private and public life, which prevents them from being full and equal participants in society, said OSCE senior officials on the occasion of International Women’s Day.
New OSCE-led survey reveals violence against women in South-Eastern and Eastern Europe

BRUSSELS, 6 March 2019 – OSCE Secretary General Thomas Greminger launched today in Brussels a report that gives a detailed picture of the physical, sexual and psychological violence many women and girls have had to endure in South-Eastern and Eastern Europe in the last decades.
OSCE White Ribbon Ceremony recognizes individuals’ efforts in promoting gender equality

Six members of permanent delegations representing their countries in the OSCE were presented with a White Ribbon Award by the OSCE Secretary General Thomas Greminger, in recognition of their personal commitment and achievements in promoting gender equality. The award ceremony took place at the Hofburg congress centre on 22 November 2018 in Vienna.
OSCE representatives on gender conduct country visit to Uzbekistan

From 6 to 9 November, the Special Representative of the OSCE Chairperson-in-Office on Gender, Melanne Verveer and OSCE Senior Adviser on Gender Issues, Amarsanaa Darisuren conducted a country visit to Uzbekistan. The visit was organized by the Italian OSCE Chairmanship-in-Office.

OSCE launches online training on mainstreaming gender in the security sector

OSCE and UN Women sign first-ever Memorandum of Understanding
