CHISINAU, 23 January 2020 – The new Special Representative of Albania’s OSCE Chairperson-in-Office for the Transdniestrian Settlement Process, Ambassador Thomas Mayr-Harting, today concluded his first visit to Moldova in his new capacity.

CHISINAU, 25 November 2019- On the occasion of the annual 16 Days of Activism against Gender-based Violence campaign, the OSCE will launch the campaign "End the Silence" in the Republic of Moldova and across South-Eastern and Eastern Europe. Its aim is to raise awareness about gender-based violence, in particular the issue of violence against women and girls. Gender-based violence concerns all of society, and governments have a responsibility to prevent and combat it.

Thirty students from both banks of the Dniester/Nistru River practiced their diplomacy skills at the sixth edition of the Model OSCE for Youth, which concluded with the adoption of an “Addendum to the OSCE Gender Action Plan” on 29 September 2019 in Moldova. The document was the result of a compromise and consensus, which the young “ambassadors” put into practice during a simulation of an OSCE Permanent Council meeting...
