The OSCE Centre in Ashgabat organized a two-day online roundtable meeting, held on 3 and 4 August 2021, with national partners involved in the implementation of the National Human Rights Action Plan (NHRAP) for 2021–2025. The meeting provided a platform for discussion on practical steps to implement NHRAP provisions related to freedom of the media and freedom of journalistic profession.

An OSCE-supported online seminar, held from 2 to 4 August 2021, focused on preparations for the Eurasian group’s (EAG) evaluation of Turkmenistan’s compliance to the Financial Action Task Force’s (FATF) standards on anti-money laundering and countering financing of terrorism (AML/CFT). Representatives of different law enforcement agencies, supervisory bodies, reporting entities, non-governmental organizations and other relevant government agencies and the private sector involved in the EAG evaluation process attended the seminar.

The Montenegrin Library of Parliament, with the support of the OSCE Mission to Montenegro, digitally catalogued its collection, enabling it to join the shared bibliographic database of the Co-operative Online Bibliographic System and Services, known as the COBISS Platform.

The OSCE Project Co-ordinator in Uzbekistan conducted a series of roundtable discussions, held on 2 and 3 August 2021, on strengthening the role of women in socio-economic and political life and investing in women's professional development and leadership skills. The event was jointly organized with the National Commission on Gender Equality and Committee of the Senate of the Oliy Majlis of the Republic of Uzbekistan on Women and Gender Equality.

The OSCE Programme Office in Dushanbe (Office) organized a roundtable discussion on the implementation of the National Programme for Rehabilitation and Social Reintegration of Juvenile Offenders for 2020–2024 (Programme). The discussion took place in Dushanbe on 29 July. Fifteen representatives of Tajikistan’s Ministry of Health and Social Protection, the NGO “Legal Initiative” and other civil society members took part.

Building on the training courses conducted in 2020, the OSCE Mission to Montenegro organized 15 days of advanced training workshops on infographics and data visualization for the staff of the Montenegrin Parliamentary Institute from May to July 2021.

Head of the OSCE Programme Office in Bishkek (POiB) Alexey Rogov visited the Batken province, Kyrgyzstan from 26 to 29 July 2021. He met with local partners to learn firsthand about their development priorities and needs, and discuss key areas of co-operation.
