What we do: Conflict prevention and resolution
The SMM monitored the implementation of the “Package of measures for the Implementation of the Minsk agreements”. Its monitoring was restricted by third parties and by security considerations*. The situation around Donetsk airport and Shyrokyne remained tense. The SMM observed several demonstrations in Luhansk city, Kyiv, Kharkiv, Odessa and Ivano-Frankivsk.
OSCE-supported anti-terrorism training courses boost Kyrgyzstan’s security

The OSCE Centre in Bishkek and the Anti-terrorism Centre of the State Committee on National Security of the Kyrgyz Republic (SCNS KR) conducted a five-day counter-terrorism training course from 6 to 10 April 2015 focusing on the radicalization process that leads to terrorism and effective preventive measures. The course was held at the SCNS KR Bakaev Institute in Bishkek.

BISHKEK, 9 April 2015 – The first meeting of the Regulatory Reform Council in Kyrgyzstan was opened today by Kyrgyz Deputy Prime Minister Valery Dil, Minister of Economy Temir Sariev and the Head of the OSCE Centre in Bishkek, Ambassador Sergey Kapinos. The aim of the event was to boost the economic reform process in the country to stimulate growth and reduce corruption.
