The seminar is designed to create a platform for dialogue between professionals in the field of jurisprudence, public administration and human rights, aiming to understand the philosophical aspects of the state and legal phenomena by reviewing of the Western philosophical tradition. Participants of the seminar will take part in moderated dialogues with elements of the Socratic method – reading and discussing fragments of works of classical and modern thinkers, exchanging views and experiences with the intention to better understand themselves, their professional mission and the essence of state and legal phenomena.

For four days, participants will discuss fundamental issues of the philosophy of law: the idea of justice, law and rights, and the essence and purpose of the state. Participants will also have the opportunity to discuss the role and responsibilities of society leaders in the development of legal culture, legal awareness and fair public relations.

The seminar is open to Ukrainian professionals in the field of jurisprudence, public administration, human rights, professional journalism and scholars who have an active civic position and are leaders in the field. Participation in the seminar is free, on a competitive basis.
