Russian convoy of 216 vehicles entered Ukraine through the Donetsk Border Crossing Point On 12 September 2014 starting at 22:20 (Moscow time) and throughout the night, a Russian convoy of 216 vehicles, including 189 cargo trucks, entered the Donetsk Border Crossing Point (BCP) and crossed into Ukraine in six groups. By 13 September at 07:45, all the vehicles had crossed into Ukraine. According to the Russian Ministry for Emergency Situations (MES), the convoy is carrying only food products and heading to Luhansk.

Russian convoy of 220 vehicles entered Ukraine through the Donetsk Border Crossing Point On 12 September 2014 starting at 22:20 (Moscow time) and throughout the night, a Russian convoy of 220 vehicles, including 193 cargo trucks, entered the Donetsk Border Crossing Point (BCP) and crossed into Ukraine in six groups. By 13 September at 07:45, all the vehicles had crossed into Ukraine. According to the Russian Ministry for Emergency Situations (MES), the convoy is carrying only food products and heading to Luhansk.

KAMENSK-SHAKHTINSKY, Russian Federation, 10 September 2014- The Observer Mission (OM) is operating at full capacity. Cross-border traffic flows remained steady at both Border Crossing Points (BCPs). The clear negative flow (more people exiting the Russian Federation (RF) into Ukraine) continued while the total number of border crossings increased, particularly after the ceasefire agreement entered into force. The OM observed considerable numbers of persons in camouflage clothing entering the RF from Ukraine, especially at Donetsk BCP. In general, people exiting the RF for Ukraine seem to be more relaxed than during previous weeks...

KAMENSK-SHAKHTINSKY, Russian Federation, 3 September 2014- The Observer Mission (OM) is operating at full capacity. Cross-border traffic flow remained steady at both Border Crossing Points. However, the OM observed a clear reversal in the flow of people crossing the border (more people exiting the Russian Federation into Ukraine). The OM observed an increased military activity principally of unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) in the vicinity of the Border Crossing Points. KAMENSK-SHAKHTINSKY, Russian Federation, 27 August 2014- The Observer Mission (OM) has completed the replacement of its administrative staff members. Cross-border traffic flow increased at both Border Crossing Points with more people exiting from the Russian Federation into Ukraine in the past two days. The OM received reports from people fleeing the Luhansk and Donetsk regions. The most prominent occurrence was the passage of 227 vehicles belonging to a Russian convoy to Ukraine and its return to the Russian Federation through Donetsk Border Crossing Point, which attracted considerable media attention...
Spot report by the OSCE Observer Mission at the Russian Checkpoints Gukovo and Donetsk, 23 August 2014: Russian convoy returned from Ukraine and crossed into the Russian Federation at the Donetsk Border Crossing Point

DONETSK CHECKPOINT, Russian Federation, 23 August 2014- On 23 August, between 10:00 and 14:15 (local time), a total number of 220 vehicles of the Russian convoy returned from Ukraine and crossed to the Donetsk Border Crossing Point (BCP). Already seven vehicles of the convoy had returned to the BCP on the evening of 22 August. The OSCE Observer Mission (OM) concludes that all 227 vehicles of the aid convoy, which had crossed the Donetsk BCP towards Ukraine on 22 August (see Spot Reports of 22 August 2014), have returned to the Russian Federation (RF).
Spot report UPDATE: Russian trucks departed from the Donetsk Border Crossing Point without ICRC’s escort

DONETSK CHECKPOINT, Russian Federation, 22 August 2014- On 22 August (until 15:55) a total number of 227 vehicles passed the Donetsk Border Crossing Point (BCP) control area towards the border between the Russian Federation and Ukraine. Out of the total number of vehicles, 37 had been inspected. In addition, out of the 227 vehicles, between 27-30 were support vehicles and rest of them trucks.
