Women’s participation in elections is one of the key components of ODIHR’s election observation methodology. Around 20 representatives from Polish civil society organizations that plan to monitor upcoming 2023 general elections will learn about OSCE commitments, international standards and good practice for better inclusion of women in all electoral processes.
Participants will have the opportunity to discuss key election areas from the perspective of women representation as candidates, voters and members of election administration. The training will also look into issues such as monitoring of violence against women in elections and of accessibility of the electoral process for people with disabilities, youth and minorities. Participants are expected to improve their skills and knowledge in observing women’s participation in elections throughout the electoral cycle.
This training is part of the ODIHR project “Capitalizing on the Human Dimension Mandate to Advance Gender Equality” (CHANGE).
