Parliamentary Oversight of the Executive in the OSCE Region

Parliamentary oversight is one of the core tasks of parliaments and, alongside their legislative and representative roles, is a fundamental element of any effective system of democratic governance.
In this publication, ODIHR presents a comparative study of parliamentary oversight of the executive enshrined in the constitutions and parliamentary Rules of Procedure of 56 OSCE participating States. The study includes examples of good practice and describes approaches that yield effective results.
