Urgent Comments on the draft Decree of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan on Measures to Further Improve the Institution of the Advocacy and Radically Increase the Status of Advocates
The scope of these Comments focuses mainly on the proposed changes relating to the institution of advocacy but does not go into other aspects addressed in the Draft Degree and Concept, notably amendments to criminal procedure, taxation laws, or legislation on legal aid. With respect to the right to legal aid, OSCE/ODIHR would like to refer to its 2019 Comments on the Draft Law on Legal Aid.
