Ambassador Clemens Koja
Dr. Clemens Koja from Austria was appointed by the OSCE Chairpersonship of North Macedonia as Acting OSCE Project Co-ordinator in Uzbekistan. He takes up his role on the back of an ongoing reform process in the host country in many key areas, right after the referendum on Constitutional Reforms.
Ambassador Koja has over 34 years of professional experience in the Foreign Service. Previously, he served as Head of the OSCE Mission to Skopje and was Permanent Representative of Austria to the OSCE in Vienna, chairing the Permanent Council during Austria’s Chairpersonship in 2017. He was also Austria's Ambassador in Belgrade and Ljubljana, Deputy Head of the Austrian Embassy in Madrid and Director of the Southern European Department at Austria's Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
He obtained a Dr.iur. at the University of Salzburg and holds a Master's degree in Catholic theology.
