OSCE Mission in Kosovo organizes visit to cultural and religious sites for students of different communities
To raise awareness about the importance of cultural heritage and religious diversity, the OSCE Mission in Kosovo organized a visit for 73 primary and secondary school students from Mitrovica/Mitrovicë and Gjilan/Gnjilane regions and their teachers to four cultural and religious heritage sites in the Historic Center of Prizren.
Students from Kosovo Albanian, Kosovo Serb and Kosovo Turkish communities visited the Sinan Pasha Mosque, the complex of Serbian Orthodox Saint George Cathedral, Roman Catholic Cathedral of Our Lady of Perpetual Help, the Halveti Tekke and the Church of Our Lady of Ljeviš. Their representatives welcomed the students and shared a brief history, including the importance of protection and preservation of cultural and religious sites belonging to different communities.
The study visit to cultural and religious heritage sites is a regular Mission activity, tailored to improve the understanding and appreciation of cultural and religious diversity in Kosovo.
