The OSCE Mission in Kosovo is organizing a two-day regional conference for the representatives of press councils, media institutions, journalists associations and academia to discuss the importance of media self-regulation bodies, and their ethical and financial challenges.
In addition to representatives of these bodies in Kosovo, participants from Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Croatia, the former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia, Montenegro, Serbia, Slovenia and the United Kingdom will tackle the young history of self-regulation bodies in the region, and will strive to identify regional similarities and find possible solutions to fighting political interference in print media.
A representative from the Office of the OSCE Representative on Freedom of the Media will also participate in the conference to outline the latest European trends on media self-regulation.
