High Commissioner on National Minorities to present prizes in 'Colours of Friendship' art competition in The Hague

Where

The exhibition, "Colours of Friendship", is a result of a project on multicultural education in Kyrgyzstan, initiated by the High Commissioner and local partners. A drawing competition was held for both majority and minority primary schools in the three provinces of Kyrgyzstan - Osh, Jalalabad and Batken - earlier this year. A shortlist of 150 drawings was selected from some 900 entries, and six finalists were chosen from each of the two age groups (6-10 and 11-14) by the High Commissioner's office. These drawings can be viewed at The Hague's City Hall until 10 October.
The ceremony will be attended by the OSCE High Commissioner on National Minorities, Ambassador Knut Vollebaek, the Minister of Education and Science of Kyrgyzstan, Ishengul Boljurova, and the Mayor of The Hague, Jozias van Aaartsen.
