The OSCE Representative on Freedom of the Media, Dunja Mijatović, will participate in the Deutsche Welle Global Media Forum. The Representative will be one of the speakers in the plenary session Foreign policy in 140 characters: How technology is redefining diplomacy.
The event will gather media representatives from around the world from the fields of politics, culture, business, development co-operation and academia. The participants will discuss and design approaches to meeting the challenges of globalization in which the media play a central role. The 24/7 news cycle - How can international organizations adapt session will be moderated by Cathie Burton, OSCE Spokesperson and Head of Communication and Media Relations. The panellists are: Alexander Hug, Deputy Chief Monitor, OSCE Special Monitoring Mission to Ukraine, Frane Maroevic, Senior Advisor to the OSCE Representative on Freedom of Media and Paul Picard, Chief Observer, OSCE Observer Mission at the Russian Checkpoints Gukovo and Donetsk, Russian Federation.
