About

Gender equality forms an important part of North Macedonia’s 2023 OSCE Chairpersonship priorities. The Chairpersonship focus is on highlighting existing commitments and the good work done in the OSCE region to enhance the position of women and girls, including supporting the implementation of the 2004 Action Plan on Gender Equality, in relation to all three dimensions. 

The conference will consider the challenges and lessons learnt from other regions that are engaged in activities to implement gender equality and to empower the women engaged in conflict prevention, management and reconstruction activities, all of which contribute to comprehensive security and provide a platform for discussion, taking stock of achievements but also looking at possible ways forward.

The Conference will include a High-Level Opening panel, followed by three working sessions. Concluding remarks will be provided at a closing session.
