Ethics and standards for newspapers in Kyrgyzstan

Ethical principles and journalistic standards will be the focus of this roundtable, organized by the non-governmental organization Media Consult and the OSCE Centre in Bishkek.

The NGO Media Consult monitors the adherence of print media and online news agencies to journalistic standards and ethical principles. It issues analytical reports once a month, specifying common trends, achievements and problems in this field.

In the course of the event Media Consult will exchange views with representatives of participating media outlets on defining ways to address problems and to find some viable and attractive alternatives to attracting and maintaining the interest of target audiences.
