A memorandum of understanding to undertake the first police assistance programme in Central Asia was signed in Bishkek.
At the request of the Kyrgyz Government, the OSCE Centre in Bishkek was charged with developing a programme to help establish community policing, improve the quality of criminal investigation and strengthen the emergency response capacity of the police force.
