Training for medical staff of the armed forces

The OSCE Centre in Bishkek in cooperation with the General Staff of the Armed Forces of the Kyrgyz Republic and Ministry of Health Care of the Kyrgyz Republic will organize a 3-day training on Istanbul Protocol for 26 staff members of medical services of the General Staff of the Armed Forces (GSAF), Ministry of Defense, National Guard and State Border Service of the Kyrgyz Republic.
The training is organizing following the request of GSAF as part of the medical component of the OSCE’s Torture Prevention Project and the National Torture Prevention Action Plan (Component on implementation of Istanbul Protocol).
The event aims at training the medical staff of the armed forces on national and international standards of effective documentation of violence, torture and cruel treatment in order to reduce violence in the Kyrgyz army as well as to inform the participants about newly adopted procedures of the Ministry of Health Care on torture and violence documentation and reporting.
