When
22 May 2012 (All day) - 23 May 2012 (All day)
Where
Almaty, Kazakhstan
Organized by
OSCE Centre in Astana, Office of the Co-Ordinator of OSCE Economic and Environmental Activities, UNECE
The aim of the workshop is to share best practices, identify and discuss challenges, and explore possible ways to enhance implementation of the Aarhus Convention in the Central Asian region. The meeting is a response to the call made by the Parties to the Aarhus Convention at the fourth session (Chisinau, 29 June – 1 July 2011), which flagged various needs for capacity-building, such as the lack of expertise related to the procedural requirements for the Convention’s proper implementation and acknowledged access to justice as the most challenging matters.
