Corruption is one of the most pervasive and pressing issues of our time, threatening security, peace, and prosperity across the OSCE region and around the world. Preventing and combatting corruption, as well as promoting good governance, remain fundamental elements of the OSCE’s comprehensive approach to security. This strategy presents a set of ideas for regional co-operation to jointly address climate-related security risks in Central Asia’s high mountain areas. It is an output of the extra-budgetary project “Strengthening responses to security risks from climate change in South-Eastern Europe, Eastern Europe, the South Caucasus and Central Asia”, implemented by the Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe (OSCE), in partnership with the Berlin-based think-tank adelphi.

The report was produced within the Framework for Response to the Implications of Afghanistan for the OSCE Region (RIAOR), providing a concise analysis of the challenges and opportunities for transboundary biodiversity monitoring and conservation in southern parts of Central Asia bordering Afghanistan. It covers agreements, ongoing and planned co-operation activities, and makes recommendations for the OSCE, the countries and local communities on biodiversity conservation. It contributes to national, regional and global efforts to conserve biodiversity as part of the Kunming-Montreal Global Biodiversity Framework.

The publication on implementation of environmental law contains case studies and is available in Serbian language only.

The publication is the updated version of the Reference Manual of the OSCE Economic and Environmental Dimension Commitments, published in 2014. The compilation is organized according to major meetings of the OSCE policy-making bodies. It contains the text of all Economic and Environmental Dimension related documents adopted at Summit and Ministerial Council levels, as well as relevant Permanent Council decisions.
