OSCE Mission to Skopje completed a project aimed at increasing the security of existing stockpiles of Small Arms and Light Weapons

The OSCE Mission to Skopje implemented a Small Arms and Light Weapon (SALW) project, which increased the security of 15 weapons storage of the Ministry of Interior, ensuring thus safety and security of citizens in the country. The project included construction works, installation of alarm and telecommunication system, and networking of stations within the Ministry, ensuring thus state of art protection for unauthorized access to duty weapons. The 1.5 million EUR project, supported by the EU and the German Foreign Office, started in 2017 and finished in 2021.
