Functioning of Moldova-administered Latin-script schools in Transdniestria

One of the confidence-building measures agreed on by Chisinau and Tiraspol upholds the right to education. In 2017, the Sides agreed on ways to improve the functioning of the 8 Moldova-administered schools in Transdniestria. These schools teach Moldovan school curriculum in Latin script. Watch the video to hear first-hand accounts of the positive changes in the day-to-day operations of the Latin-script schools.

Access to international roads for Transdniestrian vehicles

Alexei lives in Transdniestria. Recently he drove his parents in his car to the Europe for the first time thanks to one of eight confidence-building measures agreed on by Chisinau and Tiraspol. Prior to that, Transdniestrian vehicles could not drive on international roads. Watch his adventure!

The OSCE Mission to Moldova is grateful to the German Federal Foreign Office for all the support in organizing the Bavaria conference on confidence-building measures in the Transdniestrian settlement process. We are glad the Sides, international experts and representatives from the mediators and observers in the 5+2 format used this informal platform for in-depth exchanges on the ways to move forward with the outstanding priorities from the “Berlin-plus” package and beyond.
