On 8 June, Judge Erkki Kourula, Vice-President of the OSCE Court of Conciliation and Arbitration, addressed the Permanent Council, reporting on the Court’s activities in the past year. He reminded that the OSCE Court, based on a treaty concluded within the OSCE, should not be considered only as a theoretical example of legal idealism but also as a mechanism based on flexible models to achieve practical results.

President Decaux and Vice-President Kourula of the OSCE Court of Conciliation and Arbitration, presented the Court and its features at the OSCE Parliamentary Assembly’s (PA) International Secretariat in Copenhagen on 25 April.

The OSCE Court of Conciliation and Arbitration’s 2022 annual report, published on 24 March 2023, gives an account of institutional matters and emphasizes the multiple endeavors undertaken by the Bureau members to raise awareness of the Court and its potential.

The President of the OSCE Court of Conciliation and Arbitration, Professor Emmanuel Decaux, addressed the Permanent Council on 19 May 2022 to present the Court’s activity report 2021.

The Bureau members of the OSCE Court of Conciliation and Arbitration concluded their visit to Stockholm, which was organized upon the invitation of Ambassador Carl Magnus Nesser, Director-General for Legal Affairs of the Swedish Ministry for Foreign Affairs, on 3 May 2022.

The OSCE Court of Conciliation and Arbitration has published its annual report for the year 2021. The reports gives an overview of institutional matters and the activities undertaken throughout the year, with a glimpse on financial and administrative matters.

The second student simulation of an arbitral tribunal under the Convention on Conciliation and Arbitration within the OSCE took place from 12 to 14 November 2021 in Ljubljana. The event was organized within the framework of the MUNLawS conference held by the Faculty of Law of the University of Ljubljana.
