On 22 April 2021, Mathieu Lemoine, Senior Project Officer in the Human Dimension at the OSCE, awarded a tablet to Muattarkhon Burkhanova, Public Relations Specialist of the Republican Social Information Center "Istiqbolli Avlod" (Tashkent) and winner of a competition for the best script for an animation video or a short film on combating trafficking in human beings.

What we do: Media freedom and development
The OSCE Project Co-ordinator in Uzbekistan, in co-operation with the Centre for Retraining of Journalists and with the support of the British Embassy in Tashkent, is organizing a train-the-trainers workshop on 10 and 11 March 2021 in Tashkent. Thirty-five local media professionals will be trained as instructors in the use of social media, in legislative and regulatory developments related to social media, and in journalistic ethics and the rights of journalists and bloggers.
Presentation of the Constitution and the Law on the Rights of Persons with disabilities in the Braille format in Uzbekistan

On 19 February 2021, the OSCE Project Co-ordinator in Uzbekistan organized a public presentation of the Constitution and the Law of the Republic of Uzbekistan “On the rights of persons with disabilities” published in Braille, as well as the UN Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities: A Training Guide (Professional Training Series), published in the state language. The National Human Rights Centre and the OSCE Office for Democratic Institutions and Human Rights (OSCE/ODIHR) co-organized the event.
