OSCE-supported Regional Course on Explosive Ordnance Disposal kicked off in Dushanbe

A three-week Regional Explosive Ordnance Disposal Course (EOD level 1) started on 10 July at the Regional Explosive Hazards Training Centre (REHTC) of Tajikistan’s Ministry of Defence (MoD) in Chimteppa, outskirts of Dushanbe.

The OSCE Programme Office in Dushanbe organized a study visit to Barcelona, Spain for six representatives of the Union of Women Judges of the Republic of Tajikistan on 13-15 June 2023. The Tajik officials learned from their Spanish counterparts the best practices of improving women and girls' access to justice, increasing gender sensitivity in cases of violence against girls and women, eliminating gender stereotypes in judicial proceedings and protecting child rights.

From 5 to 9 June, the OSCE Transnational Threats Department, in co-operation with the OSCE Programme Office in Dushanbe, organized an introductory training course on cybercrime and digital evidence at the Academy of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Tajikistan.
OSCE trains WRC staff members to better respond to the needs of families affected by gender-based violence

A five-day train-the-trainers course (ToT) for twelve staff members (seven women and five men) of the Women’s Resource Centres (WRC) concluded on 19 May 2023 in Dushanbe. The ToT provided the participants with skills and knowledge on how to promote harmony within vulnerable families and help reduce violence through a combination of gender norms, behavioural change and income-generating activities. The OSCE Programme Office in Dushanbe organized the ToT with the financial support of the United States of America, Finland, Norway Germany and Andorra.
