From 5 to 9 February, the Office of the Co-ordinator of OSCE Economic and Environmental Activities organized a workshop in Warsaw, Poland for Ukrainian supervisory agencies and regulators on addressing the most common risks associated with money laundering and supervisory processes governing Virtual Asset Service Providers (VASPs).

To increase awareness and discuss regional co-operation on climate change and security, the OSCE gathered more than 40 representatives from its field operations to meet in Istanbul for a workshop on 13 and 14 December 2023. Emphasizing that the effects of climate change can exacerbate economic challenges and environmental degradation, which may negatively affect prosperity, stability and security in the OSCE area, the OSCE provides a platform for political dialogue on a wide range of issues associated with climate related security risks. These conversations form the basis for the implementation of activities on the ground.

Seventeen officials from the General Prosecutor´s office, the Ministry of Interior, the Ministry of Finance, and the Parliament of Turkmenistan strengthened their knowledge of corruption proofing draft legislation in a training course held from 4 to 6 December 2023 in Ashgabat, Turkmenistan. The Office of the Coordinator of OSCE Economic and Environmental Activities (OCEEA) organized the training in co-operation with the OSCE Centre in Ashgabat.

Fourteen supervisory and law enforcement officials from Ukraine enhanced their knowledge and skills in identifying and investigating financial crimes conducted with cryptocurrencies and other virtual assets in a training course held from 14 to 17 November 2023 in Vienna.
