Giornale della 717a Seduta plenaria del Foro di cooperazione per la sicurezza
Prima di procedere all’esame dell’ordine del giorno la Presidenza, l’Irlanda-Unione europea e gli Stati Uniti d’America hanno espresso cordoglio alla Turchia in relazione all’attentato dinamitardo che ha avuto luogo a Reyhanli, Turchia, l’11 maggio 2013. La Presidenza ha inoltre esteso le sue condoglianze agli Stati Uniti d’America in relazione alla sparatoria avvenuta durante la parata per la Festa della mamma tenutasi a New Orleans, Stati Uniti d’America, il 12 maggio 2013. Ha inoltre espresso il suo cordoglio alla Georgia per la morte di tre soldati georgiani durante un attacco a una base georgiana nell’Afghanistan meridionale avvenuto il 13 maggio 2013. La Turchia, la Georgia e gli Stati Uniti d’America hanno ringraziato la Presidenza e gli Stati partecipanti per le espressioni di solidarietà. Relazione sul rafforzamento dell’attuazione della risoluzione 1540 dell’UNSCR e il ruolo delle organizzazioni internazionali, presentata da S.E. Ambasciatore Kim Sook, Presidente del Comitato del Consiglio di sicurezza delle Nazioni Unite istituito ai sensi della risoluzione 1540 (2004).
