Diario de la 717ª Sesión plenaria del Foro de Cooperación en materia de Seguridad
Antes de pasar al orden del día, el Presidente, Irlanda-Unión Europea y los Estados Unidos de América dieron el pésame a Turquía por el atentado de bomba perpetrado en Reyhanli (Turquía) el 11 de mayo de 2013. El Presidente expresó también sus sinceras condolencias a los Estados Unidos de América por el tiroteo ocurrido el 12 de mayo de 2013 en Nueva Orleans (Estados Unidos) durante un desfile con motivo del Día de la Madre. También dio el pésame a Georgia por el fallecimiento de tres soldados georgianos durante un ataque perpetrado el 13 de mayo de 2013 contra una base de Georgia estacionada en el sur de Afganistán. Turquía, Georgia y los Estados Unidos de América dieron las gracias al Presidente y a los Estados participantes por su muestra de solidaridad. Ponencia sobre cómo impulsar la aplicación de la resolución 1540 del Consejo de Seguridad de las Naciones Unidas y la función de las organizaciones regionales, a cargo del Excmo. Sr. Embajador Kim Sook, Presidente del Comité del Consejo de Seguridad de las Naciones Unidas establecido en virtud de la resolución 1540 (2004). Información acerca de recientes ejercicios militares realizados en la Federación de Rusia (Federación de Rusia, Anexo).
