Travail non protégé, exploitation invisible : la traite à des fins de servitude domestique
Ce hors-série, le quatrième hors-série publié par le bureau de la Représentante spéciale, est le fruit de la conférence de haut niveau organisée sous les auspices de l’Alliance contre la traite des personnes sur le thème du travail non protégé, de l’exploitation invisible et de la traite des personnes à des fins de servitude domestique, et accueillie par la Représentante spéciale à Vienne les 17 et 18 juin 2010, et du document d’information qui a contribué au dialogue et aux échanges qui ont eu lieu lors de cette conférence. Le présent document est conçu comme un instrument d’orientation politique à destination des décideurs et des praticiens qui s’occupent de la traite des êtres humains sur le terrain. Il est fondé sur une recherche documentaire approfondie, un travail de terrain rigoureux, et des analyses de cas minutieuses afin de jeter un éclairage sur l’une des formes d’esclavage moderne les plus invisibles. Il tient également compte des observations, des apports et des compétences d’ONG spécialisées, et incorpore les contributions précieuses et l’expérience directe des décideurs et des responsables (notamment les autorités de police, les procureurs, les juges et les diplomates), ainsi que des syndicats, des organisations internationales et des universitaires qui ont participé à la conférence de l’Alliance.
